AVWIKI

Privacy

AVWIKI handles limited account, contribution, and usage information to operate the Service.

Effective date: October 27, 2026

1. Information We Handle

  • Account username, password hash, and public nickname
  • Profile details and content you submit, such as ratings, reviews, posts, comments, and edits
  • Usage events, such as viewed titles or performers, result interactions, and a random analytics session identifier
  • Hashed IP-based values used to limit repeated sign-up and other requests
  • Cookies and browser storage used for sign-in, preferences, and locally saved activity

Email, phone, and payment details are not required to create an account. This does not mean that AVWIKI handles no information about users. Passwords are stored as hashes rather than in their original form.

2. Why We Use It

We use this information to provide accounts and site features, display user contributions, remember preferences, understand how the Service is used, protect the Service, and limit abusive or excessive requests.

3. Cookies and Analytics

  • avdbs_session keeps an account signed in and expires after up to 30 days.
  • avwiki_as links usage events to a random session identifier. Its maximum lifetime is 24 hours, with a 30-minute inactivity window.
  • avwiki.search.excludeVr remembers a search preference for up to one year.
  • Google Analytics is loaded to measure site usage. Google may process browser, device, and usage information. AVWIKI currently has no separate analytics-consent setting.

Browser settings can clear or block cookies and local storage. Some features may then work differently. Information saved in browser storage remains on that browser unless it is cleared.

4. Service Providers

AVWIKI uses Vercel for website hosting, Supabase for database infrastructure, and Google Analytics for usage measurement. These providers may process information as needed to provide their services. Their systems may handle information in different locations according to the connected service configuration and their own terms.

5. Retention and Requests

Account information is kept while an account is in use. Public contributions may remain visible after account-related requests so that community pages retain context. AVWIKI has code to clean up raw analytics events older than 30 days, but the live schedule for that cleanup is not confirmed here. Hosting and security logs may follow separate provider retention periods.

There is currently no self-service account deletion screen. For access, correction, or deletion requests, contact avwiki.cs@gmail.com. We may ask for reasonable information to confirm account ownership.

6. Contact and Updates

The service operator is AVWIKI Operations. For privacy questions or requests, email avwiki.cs@gmail.com. We may update this page when our practices change.
